This is a favorite of mine. I can't for the life of me remember who took it.
Life was simple back then, no kids, no real job...just me and my baby. Summer of 2000!

That same summer was the summer that China was stolen...yes stolen.
Here's how it all went down. I was off to visit of one my friends in detox that was situated in the downtown core. I had tied Chi up outside of a corner store. I was literally in the store for 5 seconds, when I came back she was gone. I began screaming like a mad lady asking everyone that walked by if they had scene a giant dog resembling a cow. Bystanders are never very helpful. I ran to the closest pay phone, dialed 911. The lady on the other end asked me.."what is your emergency?" I responded by telling her that someone had stolen my dog. She reassured me that all the squat cars in the area will be on the look out for her. She then told me to go home and wait for their call. I was perplexed, what I really wanted to do was hunt down the mutha effer who stole China in the first place. However I'm pretty little and couldn't kick a cockroaches ass. So I went home and waited and waited. I waited 4hrs before the cops called me back but they DID call me back and Chi was ok. I walked down to the cops shop and there she was happy as a pig in shit. The cops were in their glory too, asking me to take pictures of them with her, giving her high fives. The dude who took Chi was some homeless guy, they found him pan handling with her outside of the liquor store a few block away. He said he "found" her and wanted to give her a home(ironic, seeing as he was homeless)...she also said he fed her a hamburger, fries and a beer. I was just relieved that she was safe. The cops asked me if I wanted to press charges but I didn't...I figured he had good intentions.
That was the thing about China she loved everyone, even stinky homeless dudes.
